Is water mixable oil paint toxic?

Water mixable oil paint does not contain harmful pigments; the liquid oil is also safe. Most of the paint does not evaporate. But the paint is oxidized. So the paint is safe for the artist. 

But if any solvent or turpentine is added to the paint, the paint achieves toxicity. The toxic level depends on the solvent type and amount.

Water mixable oil paint is safe paint. You can use the paint without an open window. But you must not use any solvent in the project.

Typically, the smell should dissipate within a few hours of painting and be completely gone within a few days. To speed up the process, you can open windows and use fans to increase ventilation in the room.
